LONG TERM TRAINING PROGRAM

This is a rare opportunity for anyone interested in making a difference in the world by beginning or continuing a successful career in Suzuki music education. Due to its continued growth, LCG, one of the leading Suzuki guitar education and training centers in the world, has an immediate opening for a caring and dedicated trainee.

BENEFITS INCLUDE...

One hour, weekly training in progressive levels of Suzuki Guitar pedagogy with master trainer Frank Longay;
One hour, weekly meeting with trainer and other trainee(s) regarding the experience in teaching currently enrolled students;
Observation and discussion of teaching by trainer(Practicum);
Monthly salary determined by the number of students enrolled;
Training as accompanist in group class and performance settings;
Guidance in conducting successful group classes;

TRAINEE'S RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE...

The highest music education standards are maintained at LCG. Among other responsibilities, a trainee should be expected to...

Adhere to Dr. Suzuki's educational vision;
Meet all students' music educational needs;
Maintain high musical and pedagogical standards;
Conduct private lessons;
Participate as accompanist in group class settings;
Eventually be assigned to group class teaching;
Participate in LCG events including concerts, recitals, open houses, graduations and play-ins;
Be able to work effectively with others, show a positive attitude and, of course...
Have fun!

QUALIFICATIONS...

Degree (BA, BS or Masters Degree) with an emphasis in music education or performance;
One year experience in teaching children classical guitar.
